FAQs

First payment

The first payment associated with a DD will always be triggered 4-6 days after the form is submitted, subject to the day of the week and any bank holidays.

Subsequent payments

Payments thereafter will be triggered on or around the date specified when creating the DD. For example, if a DD was set up for the 2nd of a given month, then all payments following the first payment should be triggered on or around the 2nd of the following month.

Creating a DD in the past

In some cases you may wish to start a DD in the past. For example, if a client visits your clinic on the 7th of a given month and you’d like the DD to begin on the 1st of the month. In this case, you can set the DD to start on the 1st.

If the client completes the form on the 7th, the first payment will be taken 4-6 days later: say, the 11th of the month. The next payment will then be taken on the 1st of the following month in keeping with the specified DD date.

Creating a DD in the future

In some cases you may wish to set up a DD for a future date. For example, if a client visits your clinic on 12 July and chooses to set up a DD for 1 August.

If the client submits the DD form on the 12th, the first payment will still occur 4-6 days later: say, 16 July. This payment will reflect the payment expected for the 1st of the upcoming month - e.g., the 1st payment planned for 1 August.

Because the payment is taken in advance, there will not be a payment on 1 August. Instead, payment will recommence on 1 September.

Double payments in a single month

In some cases a client may pay twice in a single month. For example, say a client visits the clinic on 29 July and you wish for their membership programme to begin on 01 July, and backdate it accordingly. The client fills out the form on the 29th of July.

The first payment reflecting 01 July (when the DD was meant to start) will occur 4-6 days later as would any first payment: say, 03 August.
